The Brief
Bernadette and Callum approached JWT Kitchens & Bathrooms with a vision for a luxurious yet practical bathroom. They desired the timeless elegance of marble combined with modern, easy-to-maintain features. Our goal was to create a space that offered both aesthetic appeal and everyday functionality.
The Challenge
The primary challenge was to integrate the luxurious look of marble with practical, easy-to-clean materials. Bernadette and Callum wanted their bathroom to be a sanctuary that was both visually stunning and simple to maintain. This required careful selection of materials and finishes that would seamlessly blend elegance with efficiency.
Our Approach
We began by selecting Calcutta Bronze marble-effect wall boards, which offered a luxurious appearance without the high maintenance of real marble. These large-format panels are 100% waterproof and easy to clean, eliminating grout lines that typically require upkeep.
To maximize space, we installed a floating vanity unit in a muted green tone, paired with a white worktop. This design choice not only introduced color but also enhanced the room's brightness and made cleaning more manageable.
A standout feature is the brushed brass countertop basin and Tall Muro mixer tap. This combination serves as an instant focal point, providing a luxurious, hotel-inspired look while ensuring practicality.
Inside the shower enclosure, we opted for a concealed brushed brass shower system. This offers a minimalist finish, enhancing the open and spacious feel of the shower area.
The overall design was tied together with consistent brass finishing details, including corner trims, a towel radiator, and shower fittings. This consistent use of brass throughout the bathroom created a cohesive and high-end appearance.
Results
The completed bathroom is a testament to the power of thoughtful design and quality materials. The Calcutta Bronze wall boards and brushed brass finishes create an elegant yet practical space. The combination of floating furniture and concealed fixtures not only enhances the visual appeal but also simplifies maintenance, ensuring that the bathroom remains a luxurious retreat for years to come.
